Acupressure for Nausea and Vomiting
Neiguan, also known as Pericardium 6 (PC6). Among the many points I’ve introduced, this one stands out as a true gem for its versatility and effectiveness, especially when it comes to relieving nausea and vomiting.
Reflecting on my own experiences, I vividly remember struggling with acid reflux during my younger years. Consuming acidic foods like apple or orange juice left my chest feeling stuffy and uncomfortable for hours. It was only after diving into acupuncture that I discovered the incredible benefits of Neiguan or PC6 in alleviating this discomfort. This acupressure point has proven to be a game-changer for chest distress, nausea, vomiting (including morning sickness), and even motion sickness.
Neiguan doesn’t just stop at physical relief; it’s also a fantastic point for calming the mind and reducing anxiety, making it a holistic remedy for overall well-being.
For those wondering how to locate this potent point, think about where you’d place a wristband. Neiguan is situated on the palm side of the wrist, a couple of inches toward the body, between two tendons. An easy way to pinpoint it precisely is by placing three fingers across your wrist, starting at the wrist crease—the point lies where the line crosses between the two tendons
I encourage each of you to explore the benefits of Neiguan and incorporate this simple acupressure technique into your routine. Experience the soothing effects and embrace wellness.
