ABOUT US

Welcome to New Lynn Acupuncture

Experts and professionals in acupuncture

New Lynn Acupuncture is a locally owned and operated practice in West Auckland. I launched this practice in collaboration with the neighboring New Lynn Chiropractic in 2021. Together we saw an exciting opportunity to develop a health and wellness hub that could offer a great range of complementary and alternative healthcare. As a licensed acupuncturist and traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, I am able to provide exceptional holistic care for people seeking a more gentle and whole-body approach to their health.

In this modern age, our bodies are under constant pressure and stress. We face physical, emotional, and chemical strain every single day and we require great resilience to continue to perform at our best. When this resilience falters, we can find ourselves struggling with acute or chronic pain, physical health disorders, and mental health challenges. In my practice, we can work together to help your body to overcome these stressors so that you can live life to the fullest!

Meet Our West Auckland acupuncturist

Johnson Su

Hello, my name is Johnson. I was born in Taiwan, moved to New Zealand as a young boy and am now raising a family of my own here. I have always had a passion for healthcare, beginning with chiropractic before finding my true calling in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

I am grateful for the friend who first introduced me to this practice as it truly changed my life. I had been suffering from a viral facial paralysis that would not resolve on its own when I first saw an acupuncturist. With their care, I was finally relieved of this affliction and had a new curiosity and enthusiasm to do the same for others. From there on I was hooked!

Since then, I have studied in both New Zealand and China, graduating with bachelor’s degrees in Health Science (TCM) and Medicine from the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. With an extensive base of knowledge and training, I began my practice in New Zealand working alongside many talented and well-known practitioners of Chinese Medicine. This experience has enriched my practice and helped me to provide my patients with the best treatment, specialising in pain management, sports and work-related injuries, stress, depression, women’s health, and a range of other chronic disorders.

My interests beyond Acupuncture help me to maintain my healthy lifestyle, including running, exercising at the gym, and taking my two beautiful dogs for walks.

Johnson Su B Health Sci (CM), B Med (TCM).

From July 3rd working on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Meet Our West Auckland acupuncturist

Victoria Lee

Hello, I’m Victoria Lee, a South Korean native who moved to New Zealand in 2017. Growing up in an Asian background, I witnessed the widespread use of acupuncture as an alternative medicine. Although my personal experience with acupuncture was limited during my youth, I became fascinated with its positive impact on my own well-being when I started experiencing digestive issues and headaches in my twenties. This sparked my deep interest in the field, leading me to pursue extensive study and practice in acupuncture. I successfully completed a bachelor’s degree in acupuncture from the New Zealand School of Acupuncture.

As an acupuncturist, I find great joy in helping my patients alleviate pain and address their health concerns. Proficient in Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, I have the skills to diagnose and treat a wide range of health issues. I am dedicated to continuous learning to provide the best possible treatment for my patients, improving their physical and emotional well-being.

While acupuncture is well-known for its effectiveness in musculoskeletal problems, it also offers benefits for internal diseases. My professional mission is to educate and provide treatment options for individuals with internal diseases who may have been underserved. My expertise lies in managing muscle pain from injuries, digestive disorders, headaches, and women’s health concerns. I strive to be a trusted healthcare provider and a lifelong confidante, always ready to assist individuals in their health journey without hesitation.

Meet Our West Auckland acupuncturist

Macs Lee

Greetings! I’m Macs Lee, and I bring a unique blend of cultural experiences and a passion for Chinese Medicine to my acupuncture practice in New Zealand. Born in Taiwan, my journey took me to New Zealand and later to various Asian countries due to family reasons. This diverse upbringing not only enriched my cultural perspectives but also set the stage for my career as an Acupuncturist.

During my university days in Shanghai China, I decided to return to New Zealand and delve into Chinese Medicine. My personal history with Chinese medicine mirrors that of many – it was the ‘leap of faith’ my parents took to address my childhood struggles with asthma. This decision turned out to be life-changing; it allowed me to embrace sports without the hindrance of health concerns ever since then. Acupuncture then became my trusted ally, aiding me through numerous sports injuries during my semi-professional ice hockey career.

My journey led me to explore the profound impact of Chinese Medicine on overall well-being. Inspired by my own transformative experiences, I enrolled in the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2017, earning a bachelor’s degree in Medicine.

Now, I channel my knowledge and experiences to help patients overcome sports/work injuries, pain, insomnia, headaches, fatigue, digestive problems, and other chronic conditions. My commitment to quality care drives me to continually seek new insights and techniques to benefit my patients.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find me either on the volleyball court or sweating it out in the gym. These activities reflect my commitment to a healthy lifestyle, complementing my professional dedication to enhancing the well-being of those I serve.

If you’re looking to alleviate pain, manage chronic conditions, or simply improve your overall well-being, I’m here to guide you on your health journey. Let’s work together to achieve your wellness goals.

Warm regards,

Macs Lee
